We finally finished our read aloud in class today. We have been reading "Pax" written by Sara Pennypacker. It is a story about a boy and his fox, Pax, who through a series of events and due to encroaching war are separated. Peter is determined to find his fox and goes off on his own encountering many dangers to be search for Pax. The story goes back and forth from both Peter and Pax's point of view. I love the story of Peter and Pax but also the budding friendship of Peter and Vola as well. she was quite a character. There were some emotional parts like Old Gray and the ending...although admittedly I am a baby...ok I cried my eyes out. Hey I wasn't the only one at least. :) I was a wonderful story that most everyone in class could make a connection too. I am excited for our next read alouds! After we ended the story we watched the clip below which is of Fox Village in Japan. <3

I loved the book a lot. My mom and I also loved the video. We thought all the little foxes were so adorable. We wish we could visit one day.
